Flamenco Show Madrid
Flamenco is pure passion. But for the feeling to flow, for “the duende” to appear, as the gypsies call that moment of rapture, of deep emotion, certain premises must be met:
Respect
This art deserves respect, attention and silence. That is the reason why we do not serve meals. The noise of a restaurant interferes with the creative silence that flamenco artists need, apart from undermining the greatness of this art.
Privacy
100 years ago, it was danced and sung in vaulted brick cellars, like ours. The artists on a small stage, surrounded by fans. The intimacy of a private, family party permeates the genes of this art: it is the essence of flamenco.
Musical loudness
Flamenco is music to sing in the ear, a secret of the soul that is confessed to a group of close people. That is why we do not need, nor do we use, microphones and speakers. The sound comes to you clean, authentic, from the instruments without amplification.
Complicity between artists
Our artistic director, “El Mistela”, winner of the National Flamenco Critics Award, has formed a group of flamenco stars around him. A small family, united above all, by the high artistic quality of its members.
Respect for this art, intimacy during the show, the musical sound of a cave made of old bricks, and the complicity between the artists, is what distinguishes us, and it is what we offer you every day at Essential Flamenco.
